Kitten-Specific Nutrition

Kittens grow rapidly during their early months and require nutrition appropriate for their developmental stage.

Sigma Kitten Food With Chicken is intended specifically for kittens rather than adult-maintenance feeding. Providing food appropriate for the kitten life stage helps support the nutritional requirements associated with normal growth and development.

The amount of food required can change as a kitten grows. Feeding should therefore be adjusted according to age, body weight, activity level and the manufacturer's feeding recommendations.

Chicken Recipe

The chicken recipe provides a familiar and appealing flavour for growing cats.

A palatable kitten food can help establish a consistent mealtime routine. When introducing a new food, gradual transition is recommended to help the kitten adapt to the change.

For kittens with known food sensitivities or special dietary requirements, always check the current ingredient information before feeding.

Supporting Growth & Development

The kitten stage is an important period of physical development. Kittens need a diet appropriate for their growth rather than one designed solely for adult maintenance.

Sigma Kitten Food With Chicken can be incorporated into a kitten's daily feeding routine according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Monitor your kitten's body condition and growth regularly. If you have concerns about weight gain, appetite or development, consult a veterinarian.

Convenient Food Format

The food format is designed to make everyday feeding simple and convenient. It can be measured according to the recommended daily amount and divided into appropriate meals.

The 2kg pack provides a practical quantity for regular kitten feeding and can be particularly useful for households with one or more growing kittens.

Feeding Guide

Feed according to the feeding instructions printed on the current Sigma packaging.

The recommended daily amount may vary according to:

Kitten's age
Body weight
Growth stage
Expected adult size
Activity level
Individual nutritional requirements
Other foods or treats being provided

Young kittens may benefit from several meals throughout the day. Follow the manufacturer's recommended feeding schedule.

Always provide fresh, clean drinking water.

Food Transition Guide

When introducing Sigma Kitten Food With Chicken, gradually replace the kitten's previous food.

Days 1–2: 25% Sigma + 75% previous food
Days 3–4: 50% Sigma + 50% previous food
Days 5–6: 75% Sigma + 25% previous food
Day 7 onward: 100% Sigma, if well tolerated

For kittens with sensitive digestion, the transition can be extended over a longer period.

Monitor appetite, stool consistency and general condition throughout the transition.

Important Kitten Feeding Information

Kittens should receive food appropriate for their growth stage. Adult-maintenance food should not normally be used as the sole diet for growing kittens.

Fresh drinking water should always be available.

Treats should be offered sparingly so they do not unnecessarily replace the kitten's main nutritionally appropriate food.

If your kitten experiences persistent diarrhoea, repeated vomiting, poor appetite, unusual lethargy, difficulty gaining weight or other concerning symptoms, consult a veterinarian.

Very young or unweaned kittens have different feeding requirements. If a kitten is not fully weaned, seek veterinary guidance regarding appropriate feeding.

Daily Feeding Routine

For a consistent feeding routine:

Measure the recommended daily quantity.
Divide the food into suitable meals.
Serve in a clean food bowl.
Keep fresh water available.
Remove any uneaten food when appropriate.
Monitor your kitten's body condition and growth.
Adjust the feeding amount according to the manufacturer's instructions as the kitten grows.

2kg Pack Convenience

The 2kg pack size offers a practical balance between quantity and storage convenience.

For households with growing kittens, a larger pack can make regular feeding easier by providing a consistent supply of food. Proper storage is particularly important after opening to help maintain freshness and quality.
